Citizens of 55 countries — including the US, Canada, UK, Australia... (See full list here) — can transit through China for up to 10 days without a visa, provided you hold an onward ticket to a third country. Available at 60 ports including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Xi'an.

China's Visa-Free EntryPolicy

China has expanded its visa-free policy to include citizens of many countries. Eligible travelers can enter China without a visa for stays ranging up to 30 days depending on their nationality. This applies to tourism, business visits, family visits, and transit purposes.

Before arriving in China, remember to fill out "Arrival Card"

  • Fill it out up to six days before arrival.
  • Option 1: National Immigration Administration Government Service Platform(click here)
  • Option 2: On Alipay mobile app, search for "12367" or "Immigration Bureau 12367" to find the mini-program
